Each team comprises 5-7 students from at least 2 different pillars:
Engineering System Design (ESD),
Engineering Product Design (EPD),
Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD), &
Information System and Technology Design (ISTD)

Project Assessment

Entrepreneurship capstone projects must fulfil both business and technical requirements. The project will be assessed by both VIE and technical faculty members through a validation process comprising 1.5 days entrepreneurship Bootcamp, 1 week project validation and project pitching.

Project Commencement

The project commences during the Capstone terms, between January to August, with a matching grant from the University. During this period, mentoring sessions and practical workshops will be conducted to guide the students through the project and equip them with entrepreneurial skillsets.

In line with Singapore’s “30 by 30” goal, our project will be targeting the four problems with today of Urban Farming. The problems are limited land space, high land cost, low energy efficiency and low production volume. Therefore, our solution is the development of the world’s first smart floating sea farm.
